Bart Peeters shines in birthday special on VRT 1 [must-see]

On Sunday evening, January 12, at 9 PM, VRT 1 presents "Bart Peeters Deluxe - The Birthday Special", a unique concert broadcast celebrating Flanders’ favorite performer.

In November, Bart Peeters reached retirement age, but slowing down is not on his agenda. With a sold-out concert series at the Lotto Arena, he’s proving once again that music and boundless energy have no age limit. This birthday special is the cherry on top of an extraordinary career—and a gift to his fans.

The show features Bart alongside his trusty band De Ideale Mannen, the 300-strong Deluxe Choir led by Hans Primusz, and an impressive lineup of musical guests. Gloria Monserez, Tutu Puoane, and Ronny Mosuse will take the stage alongside Bart. As a surprise treat, Pommelien Thijs and Koen Wauters will also join the celebration.

The concert blends iconic hits and hidden gems, from the upbeat 'Brood voor morgenvroeg' and the summery 'Zwemmen in de zee' to the touching 'Wat nog komen zou'. The heartfelt tribute to Robert Mosuse, 'Hij zong Nana', performed by Bart and Ronny Mosuse, is another highlight not to be missed.
